About the Event
Join the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. Delaware Chapter for a day of rest, renewal, and sisterhood at our first ever Black Girl Beach Day, a summer celebration created for us, by us. Bring your beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and your tribe as we intentionally pause to care for our bodies, minds, and spirits.
As part of our Black Girls Move wellness initiative, this free community event places a spotlight on rest as resistance and restoration as a right. With relaxation at the center, we’ll enjoy calming waves, soulful conversations, light movement, and meaningful fellowship in a peaceful beachside setting.
We’re honored to host this day of joy and wellness at Johnnie Walker Beach in Lewes, Delaware—named in tribute to Johnnie Walker, a local Black entrepreneur, surf fisherman, and community leader who advocated for access to Lewes Beach during segregation. We uplift his legacy and the…
