Dr. Teresa D. Drummond Scholarship

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Delaware Chapter Scholarship Fund honors Dr. Teresa D. Drummond, a scholar devoted to national public service.  Dr. Drummond was a graduate of Howard High School in Wilmington, DE; the University of Delaware in Newark, DE; and the Ohio State University in Columbus, OH where she was conferred a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D). She was the founding first Vice President for the local chapter.  To date, NC100BW-DE has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships.

Eligibility 

For an an applicant to be eligible for the Dr. Teresa D. Drummond Scholarship, the applicant must meet one of the following criteria..

  • Graduating High School Senior that has been accepted into a technical trade, associate degree, or undergraduate degree program

  • Matriculating student enrolled in a technical trade, associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree program

  • Non-traditional adult student who has experienced a gap in education and  is accepted, enrolled or attending an accredited institution for a technical trade, associate or undergraduate degree program (for example, a GED recipient; a person in the workforce returning to school; or someone who is not a recent high school graduate).

  • Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and/or academic merit

  • 2020 Scholarship Applications will be available on April 6, 2020

  • Deadline to submit 2020 Scholarship Application is June 5, 2020

  • Scholarship Awards distributed August/September 2020
